About Us
Hello and welcome to my page!
Ever since I was little, I have had a love for science and a fascination with how the body works. As I grew older, I began to work in labs and do research. I loved discovering new things! After I received my PhD in 2009, I began teaching Anatomy and Physiology, among other classes, at the University level. The classes I taught were difficult and I enjoyed being able to take those difficult subjects and make them easier to understand. I have found a passion for teaching and increasing health literacy. The one thing we must understand is that even though not everyone will go into the medical field, there are instances in which you must be able to advocate for yourself or a loved one. The more you know about your body and how it works, the better you can understand and form those decisions.
Here, on my website, you can find links to blogs on various topics. Some of these topics will also overlap. These topics will coincide with my YouTube learning videos so that you can use them in conjunction with one another, allowing for the most comprehensive learning experience. There are also links to my videos and YouTube channel to help you learn more about how the body works. I will include Fact Sheets, where appropriate, which will include quick information, all on one sheet! This page will continue to grow and evolve as I come up with more ways to help present information in a very learnable, relatable way!
